Starting a thankful blog...
In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.

The Bad Days
Even though at the moment you feel like the world is ending, just when you're about to give up hope, and after the breakdown... you know, on those bad days.... It seems like after your final crack goes all the way through and you crash down hard, the next breath is one that's fresh. You can see clearly after you cry out all the fog. I find myself grateful for the bad days because it's after those that I can recognize the good ones.

The Spirit
I'm so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost. I love feeling the testifying power of the Spirit. When I am full of the spirit I feel uplifted, happy, and motivated. Receiving the Holy Ghost has been such a wonderful blessing in my life.

The Ability to Walk
I'm thankful for the ability to walk! Now that my leg is functioning better and almost normal ;) haha, I've been able to start walking to school again! I've forgotten how much I lOve this part of my day. It's like my reconnection to nature; my silent reflection. I'm allowing myself time to have my internal conversations with God. It may sound cheesy, but walking to school has played a blessing in my life this past year and I'm so glad to have the ability back to walk.

Things I'm grateful for...that I took for granted before my injury/surgery...
- Kneeling to pray
- Standing to shower
- Walking up and down stairs
- Walking. Period.
- Going to the bathroom by myself
- Getting my own glass of water
- Getting dressed
- Wearing jeans
- Peddling a bike
- Sleeping on my side
- etc.
Remember that little things are what make big differences! Always remember to be grateful for what you DO have and CAN do, no matter how small it may seem at the time.
